So... I checked out a used car before buying it, and the mileage history was really helpful. It laid out the older readings clearly, which made me feel a lot more confident about the car. Super easy to use too, no hassle or anything.

I paid to look up the ownership and title history, but it didn’t really show as much as I was hoping for. A few of the dates were kind of unclear too, which made it harder to piece everything together. To be fair, I might’ve just checked at a bad time or expected too much from it. It wasn’t completely useless, but for me it didn’t feel worth the cost.

I used carvertical to check a couple of cars from abroad. It did give me some helpful info on one of them, but for the other there was barely anything there. What annoyed me is that the wording makes it sound like you’re getting a proper full report, when really it depends a lot on the country the car is from. It’s not a bad service, but I’d definitely check how good the coverage is for that country before paying.

I was able to look up past auction sales without much trouble, which was helpful. The pricing information gave me a decent idea of what things had sold for before, and overall it felt useful enough for what I needed...
